Project Notes:
Aplastic anemia is life-threatening without treatment. It makes Fortune highly vulnerable to infections and severe complications due to low blood cell counts

Bright kanyika is the organizer of this fundraiser.
We are reaching out with an urgent request to support our dear friend, Fortune Milanzi, a 20-year-old third-year Biomedical Engineering student at Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences. Fortune is a bright and hardworking young man with a passion for healthcare and engineering, who now faces the toughest challenge of his life.
Recently, Fortune was diagnosed with a severe blood disorder called aplastic anemia. This condition causes his bone marrow to stop producing the blood cells necessary to fight infections and maintain his health. Fortune has been undergoing intensive treatments, but his medical team has concluded that a bone marrow transplant is his best hope for a cure. Unfortunately, this life-saving procedure is not available in Malawi and will require him to travel to India.
We are raising 30 million Malawian Kwacha for Fortune’s treatment, and with generous contributions so far, we are just 4 million Kwacha away from this goal. However, we still urgently need to bridge this gap to ensure Fortune can receive his transplant in time.
